The future of presential events, issue of analysis at GAT Virtual Expo

(Colombia, SoloAzar Exclusive).- Max Bauer and Manuel del Sol, together with José Anibal Aguirre, talked about traditional events and exhibitions, about the challenges with which organizers have to deal with, and about the joint work to reach the international standard regarding protocols and security norms.

Max Bauer, VP for Latin America and the Caribbean, NOVOMATIC, Manuel del Sol, General Director NOVOMATIC Gaming Colombia, and José Anibal Aguirre, GAT General Director were the participants of the talk about the future of traditional events.
One of the questions raised was how to display the products without face-to-face fairs, to which Bauer replied: "Until now we have shown videos of our products in direct contact with our customers, with open chat for inquiries."
Then, when asked how to handle the situation with so much uncertainty, Bauer replied: "We believe that the biggest challenge for the organizers will be to provide a quality customer rather than quantity to the exhibitor."
Aguirre added: "I think that working jointly with manufacturers, exhibitors, etc. and keeping the protocols, it is possible that one can return if the health situation improves. The rest is complicated for the fair organizers, since we are not prepared and I believe that the costs go to be high if we want to reach the international standard with these safety standards. "
Del Sol affirmed that there is a total degree of uncertainty. "The great message is that in the short term there may be more local and regional fairs, not international ones. The fair implies travel, crowds, social contact ... I think that right now we are a little far from that reality that we were before. The experience of using virtual tools can help us, but it is a bit of learning together."
For his part, Bauer concluded: "I like to see the positive side. For example, the casinos in Europe, the first days cost a lot and already on day 30 they began to have collections similar to that of the pre-pandemic. It will take us time to get used to it. to travel again or go to a physical place, lose fear ... but perhaps it is less than we are thinking. I think the fairs are going to return, we don't know when."
